We are currently seeking a passionate Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the continuous development and enhancement of our software.

Position Overview

As a Full Stack Developer at VRPS, you will collaborate closely with our founders and industry experts to build, maintain, and improve our suite of software products. You’ll be writing clean, efficient code while working on projects that directly impact the customer experience. This role is ideal for a developer with strong foundational programming skills, a desire to grow, and a drive to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, test, and maintain high-performance, responsive code in PHP.
• Design and manage MySQL databases, optimizing queries for performance.
• Develop and enhance front-end functionality using JavaScript to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with senior developers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Participate in code reviews, contributing to the establishment of best practices.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs into our software solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve skills.
• Document code and development processes to ensure clarity and team alignment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong knowledge of PHP with experience in building web applications.
• Proficiency in MySQL, including complex queries and database optimization.
• Fluency in JavaScript, with experience in front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., jQuery).
• Experience with Bootstrap, CSS, and HTML5.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Enthusiasm for learning and growing within a dynamic, fast-paced development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Basic understanding of server administration and deployment processes.
• Experience with Agile development tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira).
• Bonus: Experience or knowledge of the vacation rental industry, including property management systems, online distribution, revenue management, or API integrations.
